These small pamphlets were privately printed by the poet as gifts to friends. They are almost impossible to find the complete set and in fine condition. collages by the author. Designed by Henri Mercher. Slim 4to, [92] pp; decorated two-color photogravure cover in imitation of a Michelin guide, within its gray cloth slipcase. Beautiful copy. An edition of 102 copies this being Examplaire de Collaborateur. These collages, consisting of pictures cut from magazines combined with original photographs, were completed in 1947 but not published until 1969. Hugnet was a prominent figure in the French art world, being a poet, artist, and filmmaker who was associated with the Surrealists and worked within the Resistance during World War II.

In the tradition of Atget, Styrsky's ordinary store fronts, still lifes and architechtural ornaments become provocative images when seen through the camera's eye.
