By 1910 his work adapted to more simplified forms using more substantial materials and construction.

Kiffer , Charles. Fredo Gardoni/Pathe. Color Lithograph. 47 3/8 x 62 3/4". Good condition, lined on linen. Although Charles Kiffer is known primarily for his many fine posters of Maurice Chevalier, his poster output chronicles the entire French theatrical and music-hall scene for more than fifty years.
Lepape was enamored with the theater and he created this poster as a tribute to the great actress, Spinelly, while she was appearing at the Comedie des Champs-Elysees. Lepape was an important graphic designer who illustrated his work in Art and Decoration, Gazette Du Bon Ton and the famous "Les choses de Paul Poiret", in 1911 which was a lavishly decorated catalogue that Poiret sent to his wealthy clients.

The art of Marcel Vertes was at its peak during the vibrant and somewhat wild decade of the 1920’s. Concentrating upon scenes of Paris street life, portrayals of women and depictions of circus and cabaret acts, Vertes left a legacy of original lithographs and drawings that superbly capture the spirit of 1920’s Paris.
